One of the exciting aspects of Lowertown is the St. Paul Lowertown Farmer’s Market. Local Farmers bringing in locally grown fruits and vegetables. It kind of seems ironic that we would be excited over veggies, seeing that many of us would attempt to avoid them like the black plague. However, times have changed and its time to get excited for fresh veggies and your favorite fruits, such as fresh blueberries and raspberries. The other great aspect of the St. Paul Lowertown farmers market is you get to learn about the products that are grown in Minnesota. I bet some of us thought that not much could grow in cold Minnesota, but you would be surprised by the amount of products that are locally grown.
Don’t just concentrate on the locally grown products though, see what else is locally made. At the Farmer’s market, you would be surprised by everything that is offered. If you’re sick of mainstream maple syrup, try locally made! There are condiment sauces, dressings, anything and everything you can think of.
And don’t forget, Christmas is only three months away. Be prepared ahead of time, the Farmers Market also has Christmas trees. Are you a fan of homemade crafts? The Farmer’s Market is the perfect place to buy local home made crafts., Speaking of crafts did you know that the Farmers Market also sells natural beauty products? Yes! Take some time and look at the natural beauty products created locally. Get a feel for locally made natural body lotion bars, lip balms, shampoos and much more.
So take some time and visit the Lowertown Farmers Market and see what local has to offer! Take some time and tell us about your experience. Send us pictures, we would love to see.
